When it comes to keeping warm it is import to cover our children’s head. Colorido’s balaclava is made form responsibly sourced Merino Wool.  Is perfect designed to play outside and be used under a helmet for skiing or biking. It feels soft, comfortable, light and warm.

All our accessories are made to the same high standards as our clothing:

• ORGANIC MERINO WOOL: Merino wool is 100% natural and sustainable fabric. The balaclava is made from 100% certified organic merino wool.
• MUSELING FREE MERINO: Mulesing is a practice in which skin is removed from the rear of the Merino sheep (mainly in Australia and New Zealand) to avoid cause infections trow fly eggs. We have contracts that guarantee that the wool we source is mulesing free.
• RESPONSIBLE WOOL STANDARD (RWS): RWS label is based on the “Five Freedoms”.

  • Freedom from pain, injury or disease (this includes mulesing-free husbandry)
  • Freedom to express normal behaviour

• AZO FREE: Azo dyes are one of the main types of dye used by the textile industry.  They are known to be potential carcinogens. These substances also may adversely affect the activity and attention of children.
• OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100: Tested for Toxic Chemicals. This label certifies that every component of the product, from the fabric to the thread and accessories, has been rigorously tested against a list of up to 350 toxic chemicals.
• AMFORI BSCI: We work with to encourage our factories to safeguard the social & working conditions of the people who produce our products (Fair Trade).
